Ladies' Items at
Sales! I am not a store shopper. I feel guilty when I spend
too much money. I got rid of all my charge cards and even buy most of my
clothing at yard sales. But I feel I am a very good dresser. I have found
outfits at sales that could be worn to the president ball (if I was ever
invited). I have dresses, and shirts galore. Perfumes that were never
opened and even nice makeup, NOW I look good, smell good and I am one of
the cheapest girls on the planet. Beside
good deals on clothing, shoes, and girly stuff, I do lots of crafts and
there is no better place to find craft items than yard
sales. When
you see it, think to yourself, how can I use this. If it catches your eye
or puts a thought in your head, (and if it’s cheap enough), bye it. It
might not be there if you come back later. 9 chances out of 10, you wont
go back. HECK,
you can even get birthday & Christmas gifts at these sales. We have
filled more than one person on our gift list, with no
complaints. One fun thing to do with friends or coworkers is have a “White Elephant” gift giving time. This could be for birthdays or for Christmas. White Elephant is giving a gift that is NOT new, but something that you take from your house, wrap it and give it to someone else that might need it or like it more than you do. You have to all agree that the occasion is going to be a White Elephant giving so no one gets upset. You can draw names and do for one person, or do this for each one in your small group of friends. IT’S FUN! Old
planters are a great bye at yard sales or auctions. These make great
gifts. Take an old planter or vase and fill it with a pretty arrangement
for your friend, and don’t forget to make one up for yourself. Everyone
loves getting flowers and it makes it more special when given in a planter
that is unique or antique. I
have plenty more ideas that you can read about in the forum, and would
love to hear any ideas that you have too. Contact us by clicking here! or email us at junkinthetrunk@webrakeforyardsales.com |
